We’ve partnered with Kinship and [email protected] to give our members, where clinically appropriate, the option to receive chemotherapy treatments at home. This service helps to:

  • Reduce time and money spent travelling, and waiting for, treatment at the hospital.

  • Minimise the risk of any infections you may catch during your hospital visits.

  • Improve your support and connection with the clinical staff with one-on-one appointments.

  • Reduce distress for frail or elderly patients with other medical conditions.

  • Give you more control over your treatment.

  • Receive treatment in a comfortable, familiar and private environment.

  • Cause less disruption to you and your family's daily lives.

Getting started

Speak to your specialist to begin your Health Care @ Home journey.

Your specialist must register themselves with one of our service providers, Kinship or [email protected]. They can then refer you into the program via our service providers' websites.

If you do not have a specialist yet, you can use our Find a Provider tool to find one near you.

What to expect

Once your doctor agrees you are suitable for the service, they will send a referral to either Kinship or [email protected].

Our service providers will confirm your level of cover with nib. As well as check to see if the service is available in your area and that your home is suitable for delivery of treatment.

Once your referral has been processed, our service providers will contact you about your availability and treatment plan. They will then book in your at-home appointment.

Before your scheduled appointment, you will receive confirmation on when to expect the nurse.

The Kinship or ViewHealth – [email protected] teams will provide regular reports to your doctor on how your treatment is going.
