Overseas medical expenses

If you get sick or injured while travelling on your trip outside of Australia, cover for reasonable and necessary emergency medical and hospital expenses incurred overseas for a new illness or injury may be available. Please note there is no cover for any medical, hospital, dental or ambulance expenses you incur in Australia.

Lost, stolen or damaged luggage and personal effects

If your belongings are lost, stolen, or damaged, while on your trip, we may cover replacement or repair costs. Depreciation applies.

Cancellation or holiday deferment costs

If your trip plans change due to an insured event, there may be cover for the non-refundable portion of your pre-paid travel arrangements.

Important: To be eligible for cover you must be a resident of Australia. Resident of Australia means an Australian citizen; permanent resident; holder of a skilled working visa (including Temporary Skill Shortage visa, but not a working holiday visa); student visa; holder of a partner /spouse visa which allows you to stay in Australia for at least 2 years; or New Zealand passport holder; all with unrestricted right of entry into Australia and access to long-term medical care in Australia.
