You can scan your nib card at any provider with a HICAPS card terminal, where you would normally swipe your plastic member card.
You'll need a device with Apple Wallet, and the latest version of the nib App to access your nib card. The latest version of the app is available for devices with iOS13 and above.
You can access your card through the nib App. In the "my nib card" section, you will see an option to add your card to Apple Wallet. You'll need the latest version of the nib App to access your nib card, available on devices with iOS13 and above.
Tip: Make sure Automatic Updates and Automatic Selection are enabled in your Apple Wallet settings, so that your card stays up to date and is automatically detected when you go to claim, without having to open Apple Wallet!
If you make any changes to your personal details, such as changing your name, your nib card will update automatically with your new details, provided you are connected to the internet and that you have Automatic Updates enabled within Apple Wallet.
You'll see a confirmation when your card has been scanned. If your claim is successful, the amount we can pay will be automatically calculated and your claim instantly processed, so you'll only pay the difference.
Tip: Check your remaining benefits in the nib App before your appointment!
You can scan your card from your iPhone or Apple Watch at your healthcare appointments instead of your plastic card, so you don't technically need both, but for now, all new members will be sent a plastic card when they join.
