nib Clinical Partners
No out of pocket costs for total hip and knee joint replacement surgery for eligible nib members*.
What is the nib Clinical Partners program?
At nib, we want to help keep you healthy and keep you moving after surgery. That’s why we’ve partnered with a network of experienced orthopaedic surgeons who offer our eligible members no out of pocket costs (excluding any excess on your policy) on total hip and knee joint replacements.

Why should I use the Clinical Partners program?
With the average hip or knee replacement costing around $2,500 out of pocket per procedure, we understand that the emotional and financial stress of major surgery can be daunting. The Clinical Partners program aims to reduce some of this stress by offering on-going support and no out of pocket costs to eligible members across Australia who are undergoing total hip or knee replacements with a participating orthopaedic surgeon.
How does the Clinical Partners program work?
When visiting your GP with a hip or knee concern, it’s important to remember that you have a choice in which specialist you’re referred to. Here’s our guide on how to get started.

What do our members have to say?
"I recently had a hip replacement and for two weeks after I came home, a nurse and physio called me weekly to see how I was progressing. Without their help I would not have progressed as well."
