Members covered as nib and St Vincent’s Health Hospital reach contract agreement

nib has successfully resolved negotiations and St Vincent's will remain an nib Agreement Hospital. This means there will be no changes to your health cover for services at St Vincent's. Eligible members can continue to reduce their out of pocket expenses by choosing a St Vincent's agreement hospital for their procedure.

To ensure your procedure is covered, use the Going to Hospital tool in your member account or the nib App. You can also use the Find a Provider tool to search for an agreement hospital near you.

There will be no changes to your health cover for services at St Vincent's. Eligible members can continue to reduce their out of pocket expenses by choosing a St Vincent's agreement hospital for their procedure.

nib has successfully resolved negotiations with St Vincent's and there are no changes to your coverage. St Vincent's will remain an nib Agreement Hospital. We will not be contacting members directly about this update.

We continue to have agreements with over 84% of all private hospitals and medical facilities nationwide, working to make sure hospitals deliver quality service at a fair and reasonable price for everyone involved. This allows us to continue providing health cover at a sustainable price for our members.

St Vincent's initially notified us of their intention to terminate our current Hospital Purchaser-Provider Agreement (HPPA) due to unsuccessful negotiations over contract rate increases. However, nib has a long-standing relationship with St Vincent's, and we promptly engaged in further negotiations. We are pleased to announce that these discussions have been successful, and we will continue our agreement with St Vincent's.
