^The provision of a medical certificate is not guaranteed and will depend on the information provided during your consultation and whether the clinician deems it to be appropriate.
*We’ll contact your previous insurer to request a Transfer Certificate. They’re required by government legislation to comply within 14 days.
**Waiting periods may apply for services and higher annual limits not covered with your previous insurer. Any annual limits you have already used with your previous insurer will also carry across to nib until they're reset on 1 January. To ensure you receive this continuity of cover, make sure you switch to nib within 59 days of cancelling your previous policy.
~Not available to: (i) QLD residents who have ambulance services provided by their State ambulance schemes; (ii) TAS residents who are covered under state ambulance schemes in TAS and when travelling in mainland Australia except SA or QLD; or (iii) pensioner, concession or health care card holders who have ambulance services provided by State ambulance schemes (check entitlements with Centrelink if unsure). Benefits for ambulance transportation is only payable where the provider describes the transportation as an ‘Emergency’.
