From November 2019, nib has been introducing upfront claiming rules to identify and decline inappropriate claims or claim items. This ensures providers claim correctly and as per the HPPA, prevents auditing, and improves our members' experience. If you have a claim or claim item declined, view the reference guide that may assist you in identifying the cause.

Public hospitals play an important role in the care of our international students and workers policy holders. nib is interested in setting up and improving relationships with all public hospitals around Australia to support these members. You need to update your information when there are any changes affecting your HPPA e.g. renewed insurance and accreditation certificates. Please contact your Hospital Contract or Relationship Manager to update your information. Your nib HPPA does not have an end date. Your agreement remains in place until it is renewed or either party terminates the agreement in accordance with the HPPA. If your HPPA has not been renewed by the review date, contact your Hospital Contract or Relationship Manager to commence the renewal process. In the meantime, you should continue to provide IFC and charge nib members in accordance with your most current agreed rate schedule.
