What is nib's First Choice network?
The First Choice network is a community of trusted healthcare professionals who provide health services at a set reduced cost or agreed discount to nib members to help lower out of pocket costs. The agreed reduced cost can vary between First Choice providers; however, you agree not to exceed the set reduced cost.
Providers who join the First Choice network benefit from having their services promoted to nib members looking for treatment.

We want to help our members access high standards of service and care. It’s about creating a healthcare community our members can trust.
To ensure our members enjoy the same experience no matter which practitioner they visit, your whole practice will be asked to become part of the nib First Choice network.
Turn our members into your new patients
We’ll promote the benefits of the network to our members and make it easy for them to find your practice with our Find a Provider tool. They’ll have lower out of pocket costs at any First Choice practice and enjoy the convenience of on-the-spot claiming.
For the convenience of our members, we require First Choice providers to have electronic claiming. nib’s schedule of treatment fees will be supplied as part of the application process.

nib First Choice providers will meet our required standards for qualifications, facilities, equipment and care. It's why our members should choose our First Choice network providers first.
We encourage applications from professionals who meet the nib standards for qualifications, facilities, equipment and care.
