Claim a different way
As an alternative to using our GP portal, we have partnered with a range of automated claiming systems to make international claiming quick and easy for our providers. Depending on what type of provider you are will determine which system you can use.
HICAPS
HICAPS makes it easy to process health care claims for international members. If you already have a HICAPS terminal, you can start using this to submit claims for international members. Our HICAPS terminal is only available for GPs.

Tyro
We are now offering Tyro claiming for international members. If you already have a Tyro terminal, you can now access new functionality to submit international claims. There’s no additional cost to enable this for Tyro merchants on our standard pricing. Please note, our Tyro terminal is only available for GPs.

Medipass
Medipass is a digital healthcare claims and payment management solution that does not require a terminal.
You can submit a digital private health insurance claim to enable patients to instantly claim their health fund benefit. You can also process claims from your computer, without the need for a physical terminal. All direct claiming with Medipass is free for providers. This is a stand-alone claiming feature provided by Medipass for GPs, radiologists and pathologists. Integration with a Tyro terminal and practice management systems (PMS) is not required.

HICAPS Digital Claims
From 1st April 2022, HICAPS welcomes LaternPay into their business introducing HICAPS Digital Claims. HICAPS Digital Claims offers instant invoicing, claiming, and payment to the point of service. Plus, all direct claiming is free for providers. You can create and submit invoices easily, with next business day payment for most schemes. HICAPS Digital Claims is available to GPs, pathologists and radiologists.
