We are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Ed Close to the nib foundation Board as Non-Executive Director.
Ed is currently nib’s Group Executive Australian Residents Health Insurance with responsibility for overseeing the end to end ownership of marketing and product assets for the Australian Residents Health Insurance business.
Previously, he held senior management positions with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in various retail banking roles spanning Product Management, Strategy and Customer Engagement.
Ed has a breadth of experience with nib helping people and communities live healthier lives, most recently leading the launch of nib’s COVID-19 member support package as well as nib’s Bushfire Relief support package for members. The packages were designed to help our members maintain their health and wellbeing and provide financial support to those who need it most.
His appointment comes following the departure of nib’s former Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Michelle McPherson, who was an active supporter of our foundation since it was first established in 2008 and held several roles over the years including Company Secretary and most recently a Director.
