Employees nominate a charity

Each year, our employees across the nib Group nominate a charity important to them to receive a helping hand.

Voting rounds open

We open the voting round and our employees cast their vote.

Grant recipients announced

The six charities with the highest number of votes receive a grant of $5,000 each.

How we've helped

Since our Good Cause Grants started in 2015, we've provided $255,000 in funding to support 51 important causes.

Kids with Cancer Foundation Australia

Kids with Cancer Foundation Australia is dedicated to improving the daily lives of children diagnosed with cancer, their families and the clinical teams who care for them. Alongside practical, emotional and financial support, they invest in long-term hospital funding, clinical positions and research, driving better care both now and into the future. Through this work, they aim to ease everyday challenges while creating lasting, positive impact.

LIVEFree Project

LIVEfree Project nurtures, strengthens and connects children, young people and families across Newcastle through tailored and targeted programs that respond to local needs. By combining practical support, wellbeing initiatives, mentoring, advocacy and community connection, they walk alongside individuals and families experiencing hardship, vulnerability and isolation. Their approach focuses on building genuine relationships, reducing barriers, strengthening resilience and creating opportunities for people to thrive. Through early intervention, holistic support and strong community partnerships, they help foster wellbeing, belonging and long-term positive outcomes for those we serve.

Ronald McDonald House Newcastle

Ronald McDonald House Newcastle gives families who need to travel far for their children’s medical care, a warm and compassionate home to stay together while their child is being treated at the John Hunter Children’s Hospital, just steps away. They offer lodging, meals and support services, easing financial burdens and fostering a support community. Ronald McDonald House Newcastle’s mission is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families and promote healing when children need healthcare.

The Cancer Society provides vital community support, advocate for better outcomes through prevention and early detection, and support world-class research and innovation.

Kiwis Together

Kiwis Together is a New Zealand charitable trust that brings together small weekly donations from everyday Kiwis to help fund approved medical, disability, therapy and wellbeing needs. Funds are paid directly to providers, allowing community support to make a practical difference for New Zealanders facing health-related challenges.

My Name'5 Doddie Foundation

My Name’5 Doddie Foundation has a clear vision of a world free of MND. Founded by rugby legend Doddie Weir, they fund the smartest, most efficient MND research, backing bold ideas and bringing together the best minds from across the globe. Their goal is simple: faster routes to effective treatments. Because MND isn’t incurable, it’s just underfunded.
