Mark joined nib health funds limited in October 2002 as Chief Executive Officer and led nib through its demutualisation and listing on the ASX in 2007 when he was appointed Managing Director of nib holdings limited.
Mark is a Director of various nib holdings subsidiaries including World Nomads Group Pty Limited.
After joining nib in 2003 as the company's Chief Financial Officer, Michelle is now Group Chief Financial Officer, Deputy Chief Executive Officer as well as a Director of nib foundation.
Michelle has a wealth of experience in financial positions and chartered accounting with more than 30 years in finance roles including senior roles at Caltex Australia.
She is a Director of the Hunter Valley Research Foundation, Hunter Valley Grammar School and a member of the Council of the University of Newcastle. In addition, Michelle is also a member of the advisory board to the Faculty of Business and Law at the University of Newcastle and a member of the University of Newcastle Foundation Advisory Board.
Previously Michelle was a Director of Newcastle Port Corporation for six years until the sale of the Port of Newcastle by the NSW Government.
Rhod started with nib in 2005 as Business Intelligence Manager. In 2007 he was appointed as nib's Invent Manager to drive strategic and innovation projects.
He subsequently held roles as nib's Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer and Chief Customer Officer. In 2013, Rhod was appointed Group Executive Australian Residents Health Insurance.
Prior to being employed by nib, Rhod spent five years as a Senior Project Manager for McKinsey & Company.
Rob was appointed as Chief Executive Officer and a Director of nib nz limited in May 2013.
He has held senior management positions in financial services including; General Manager World Markets – Insurance, CEO American Express Banking Corporation India, New Zealand Country Manager American Express and Vice President for American Express Australia. Rob has also held senior management roles in Asia with Visa International and Unilever.
Rob also actively participates on non-profit brands and providing training for NFP organisations in governance and leadership.
Brendan joined nib in 2003 as Health IT Manager of Newcastle Private Hospital and has since held several IT management roles within the company including Group IT Manager.
In June 2012, he was appointed Chief Information Officer to drive technology alignment and innovation within the organisation.
Prior to being employed by nib, Brendan held several technical roles at the Nine Network Australia and at Hunter Imaging Group.
Justin was appointed Group Executive Benefits and Provider Relations at nib in 2013. He is responsible for managing nib's relationship with our network of ancillary and medical providers and their associations, as well hospital contracting, claims analysis and management, consumer empowerment, disease prevention and control as well as benefit design and clinical governance.
Prior to joining nib, Justin held a similar position as Head of Clinical Operations at Southern Cross Healthcare, New Zealand's largest private healthcare organisation.
Justin has also held a number of other leadership roles in the healthcare sector including CEO of medical technology company BrainZ, Acquisition and Integration Manager of MercyAscot Hospital, leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers' New Zealand health consulting practice, as well as key positions in pharmaceuticals in the UK.
Also of note, Justin held the role of CEO of New Zealand Cricket from 2007 to 2011, which followed on from previously representing New Zealand in test and ODI cricket.
Prior to moving into the business of healthcare, Justin qualified in medicine at Auckland University.
David joined nib in January 2015 as Group Executive International and New Business. He is responsible for nib's International Workers and Students businesses, expatriate health insurance and nib's travel and life insurance businesses. David is also responsible for new business development, including further opportunities to grow nib beyond Australia, with a particular focus on Asian markets.
David has more than 20 years' experience in the insurance and investments sectors. He was formerly Regional Director of Strategy & Business Development for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, for Willis, based in Hong Kong. Prior to this, he held the roles of Executive Director of Retirement and Investment Solutions at ING Australia, General Manager of Strategy, Projects and Finance at Perpetual, and Associate at McKinsey & Company.
David also practised as a medical doctor for eight years, principally in the field of orthopaedic surgery.
Ros joined nib in 2011 as General Counsel and is responsible for managing the Legal, Risk, Compliance and Governance functions across the nib Group. Ros is also Company Secretary of nib holdings limited.
In 2017, she was promoted to the Group's Executive Management team and has responsibility for legal, risk, compliance and governance of the nib group businesses in Australia and its global operations.
She also is a volunteer Director of nib foundation, nib's charitable organisation.
Prior to joining nib, Ros was General Counsel & Company Secretary of a national building and construction company, and also worked in private practice for over 12 years for a number of leading Australian law firms.
Ros holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Journalism) (Honours)(University of Canberra/University of Technology), Bachelor of Laws (UNSW), as well as Graduate Diplomas in Legal Studies (College of Law) and Applied Corporate Governance (Governance Institute).
Wendy was appointed to nib's Executive management team in September 2017 to lead our People and Culture teams across the nib Group.
Wendy has over 20 years' experience in senior HR roles in companies across diverse industries including Greencross, George Weston Foods, Vodafone, AMP Limited and the Commonwealth Bank; and more recently ran her own HR consultancy. Wendy has a strong track record in making organisations successful through strategic realignment and building a highly agile people culture.
Wendy holds a Masters in Human Resources (Charles Sturt University) and attended the Executive Leadership Programs at INSEAD (France) and Henley Business School (UK). She was the former Chair of the Vodafone Foundation.
