New website to help Aussies eat and live better

Young Australian adults at University of Newcastle

Together with the University of Newcastle, we've launched a new nutritional web platform helping young Aussie adults to improve their lifestyle and ultimately live healthier lives.

Young Australian adults will have free access to personalised dietary advice available at their fingertips from today, with the launch of the University of Newcastle's nutritional website, No Money No Time, opens in a new tab.

With 98 per cent of 18-24 year olds in Australia failing to meet daily fruit and vegetable requirements, the No Money, No Time (NMNT) site will provide Aussies with free access to quality online resources and tailored recipes to help set long-term healthy eating behaviours.

Thanks to our funding support, the website has been developed to remove the barriers of money and time to help improve the overall health of young Australian adults and reduce the risk of preventable chronic diseases later in life.

The site will integrate existing assessment tools developed through the University's Priority Research Centre for Physical Health and Nutrition, and the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI), including the Healthy Eating Quiz, opens in a new tab.

Once individuals complete the Healthy Eating Quiz they will be provided with an easy to understand diet score and personalised goals to help improve specific area of their diet.

Based on these scores, the individual will be sent to the NMNT website where they will be provided with simple, nutritious recipes that they can filter depending on their kitchen equipment, motivators (e.g. to lose weight or sports performance) and dietary requirements.

The individual can then keep track of their progress through a personalised dashboard stored on the platform.
