See how easy it is to claim using your mobile phone

  • Claim on your mobile phone

Download the free nib app for iPhone or go to nib.com.au on your smartphone. Enter the details of your Extras service, review your claim details and submit your claim. Once your claim has been submitted the benefit amount will be paid straight into your nominated bank account, usually within 2 business days.

  • Within 10 days of submitting your claim you’ll receive a summary to confirm your claim. You’ll need to return this summary to us with your original provider receipts attached; we’ll supply a reply paid envelope.

Claim via nib Point of Service (HICAPS) after your treatment.

When you swipe your nib card, you pay your part and we pay ours, your claim is processed and paid on the spot. It’s that simple.

Claim over the phone

To make a phone claim you will need to have your nib card and provider receipt handy. We can set up a Direct Credit account for you when you call.

Claim by mail

To send us your claim by mail, complete an nib Claim Form, attach all of your original receipts and send to the reply paid address that’s written on the form.

When you claim with an nib Claim Form, be sure to:

  • Sign your Claim Form

Attach receipts and accounts that are:

  • Original documents (not copies)
  • Written in English (helps us process them faster)
  • On the provider’s official stationery or have the provider’s official stamp
  • Fully itemised, showing all the services listed individually

If you haven’t paid the account, we will give you a cheque made out to your provider. Whatever remains unpaid from the account (i.e. what we didn’t pay) is what you need to pay to your provider.
