The Malaysian Consulate and Students Department Australia recommends students applying for a visa and students already studying in Australia join their preferred Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) provider, nib health funds.
Why?
It is a condition of your student visa to be covered by an OSHC policy while you are studying in Australia and nib’s OSHC is designed specifically for students like you.
New Students
You no longer require the University to arrange your OSHC, click on the 'Self funded students' link on the left to join nib and we will email your Confirmation of Cover Certificate for your visa application.
Sponsored Students
If you are a sponsored student with JPA, Petronas or Mara Education, then please contact your student advisor at the Consulates office for more information.
Current Students
If you are already in Australia and have OSHC with another fund you can transfer to nib. Click on the 'self funded students' link on the left, complete the clearance/cancellation form and send it to nib, then we will take care of the rest for you.
