Changes like these mean a change to your health cover needs. For example, if you have cover for both of you and a baby comes along, make sure your little one’s covered by getting cover for all of you.
If you already have a family policy when your baby comes along, you simply add your baby’s name to your cover. Your baby will be covered effective from their date of birth.
If you only have singles or couples cover, you’ll need to upgrade to a family cover within one month of your baby’s birth to ensure he/she is protected by your nib policy. Make sure your new cover has benefits for pregnancy and birth-related services so that mum stays covered too!
