nib was  the major sponsor of the nib Andrew Johns Walk which was held from the 19th to 24th of October 2008. The walk, starting in Newcastle and finishing in Sydney, was designed by Andrew to raise awareness and funds for the Black Dog Institute.

The Black Dog Institute is an educational, research, clinical and community-oriented facility offering specialist expertise in a range of disorders that include depression and bipolar disorder. 

nib wishes to thank all those who helped raise a staggering $2,130,000, which will go towards Black Dog Institute’s research and major projects.   

nib was proud to be involved with supporting the walk, which was symbolic of the long journey Andrew and many like him face when dealing with mood disorders.
