Geelong Cats  

nib has sponsored the Geelong Cats since 2007. The sponsorship signalled an exciting new era for nib. The link with the regionally-based Geelong Cats and the AFL in general, provided an ideal way to increase the awareness of the health fund as nib continues its national expansion.

The 2007 AFL Season was the most successful in this Cats long history. After finishing the regular season six points clear at the top of the premiership table, the Cats went on to win the AFL flag for the first time in 44 years.

In 2008, the Cats were unable to finish their greatest regular season ever with a premiership win after being defeated by Hawthorn in the Grand Final.

More recently in 2009, nib signed on with the club as an Elite Sponsor for a further three years. The Cats since went on to win their second premiership in three years against St Kilda in a thrilling Grand Final at the MCG on 26 September.
