NIB does not offer hospital cover specifically designed for overseas visitors, temporary
residents, or other residents of Australia who do not qualify for full Medicare
entitlements. Our benefits for hospitalisation are based on Medicare qualification
and would leave you with medical out-of-pocket expenses if you are not the holder
of a valid green or blue coloured Medicare card.
